What to do at DogFest

We're spoilt for choice!  Back by popular demand some of the have-a-go activities this year include Hay Bale Racing, Dog Diving, the Dogstacle Course, an Obedience Challenge and Agility .  compete against your dog in an event?  There are the favourites from previous years, and lots of barking mad new additions to this year’s line-up.

DogFest regulars love the mix of entertainment and edutainment. Get up to speed with all the latest tips and advice from guest experts.  Whatever your interest there’ll be something for you. Topics include health and welfare, veterinary developments, dietary requirements, behavioural psychology, new ownership during the pandemic and loads of other doggie info.

UK’s largest dog charity, Dogs Trust, the official Charity Partner, will show their fundraising opportunities and with September being re-homing month they'll be sharing those success stories too.

Pandemic puppy owners can enrol their puppy into DogFest’s Puppy Academy. It's a place to learn, play and give those pups some rest.

The Puppy Academy invites pups of all breeds, shapes and sizes to meet each other in a friendly, relaxed environment. (As long as they’re inoculated).  Socialisation is the name of the game, that crucial early stage for every puppy’s mental wellbeing and future development.  And for any burning questions there'll be experts present happy to chat about any puppy parent concerns.

And the favourite from previous years, the Fun Dog Show sponsored by Bought By Many, is an excellent laugh.  You'll want to pull up a hay bale and watch your dog compete for titles such as Best in Show, Most Fabulous or Best Rescue to name a few.

Dogstacle course 

Perhaps you'd love to compete with your dog on the Dogstacle Course, sponsored by Pet Active Life?  They instruct your dog to soar over hay bale hurdles, dive under scramble nets, zigzag around poles and dart through tunnels.  You can show your dog how it’s done! They’re new to DogFest Hertfordshire this year. This challenge will reward the fastest dogs to complete the course.  All dogs and humans are welcome to play.

Hide and Seek

Dogs can sniff out treats from almost anywhere… but does your dog have what it takes to sniff you out? It's ultimate hide and seek and you have to choose the best hiding place from a series of pop-up tents in the arena, your dog has to find you in a race against the clock!

There'll be a spectacular display by the pro's in the Main Arena at DogFest Hertfordshire, and after that you’ll be invited in to have a go! See if your dog has the confidence and skill to impress you with their frisbee prowess.

Fun With Dogs is tiring - a pup snoozes while mum relaxes at DogFest

And when you and your furry best friend are pooped you can roll out a picnic blanket and soak up the festival vibe with the help of gin-tastic & prosecco bars, and... live music!  There are loads food and drink stalls to choose from.
